Walter W. Gouldsbury III practices in the areas of financial restructuring, creditors' rights and real estate law.

Walter's financial restructuring and creditors' rights practice includes representing secured and unsecured creditors, commercial landlords, financial institutions, Fortune 100 and 500 companies, commercial leasing companies, and chapter 7 and chapter 11 trustees in all facets of corporate restructuring proceedings and related litigation. He also represents clients in complex litigation in state and federal court in matters involving fraud, breach of contract, breach of guaranty, lender liability, receiverships, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), pre-judgment provisional remedies and judgment enforcement. Walter also counsels clients on UCC issues and handles a variety of workout, restructuring and insolvency matters for lenders.

Walter's real estate practice includes representation of commercial developers, owners, landlords, tenants, special servicers, and lenders in all aspects of disputes concerning commercial properties. His practice includes resolving disputes involving complex commercial lease defaults, real estate secured transaction issues, judicial and non-judicial commercial mortgage foreclosures, eminent domain and other real estate related issues.

Prior to joining Ciardi, Ciardi & Astin, Walter practiced nationally at an AmLaw 100 law firm. He was recognized as a Super Lawyer "Northern California Rising Star" for 2012, 2013, and 2014 and a Super Lawyer "Pennsylvania Rising Star" for 2017.

Prior to entering private practice, Walter was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Christopher M. Klein, United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of California and the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. He is also an avid cook and is a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan.
